Fish Creek column: Farmers Market still hosting vendors

By Mary Anderson
Advocate correspondent

As I write this, it is a rainy, foggy Wednesday. Two brave souls exhibited at the Wednesday Farmers Market at the Settlement Shops, Pat's Patch and Crusty Uprising. It brought possibilities to mind that perhaps there is a place where we could have winter markets. Both have food available. Pat has lettuce, potatoes, black beans, etc., and can be reached at (920) 839-2704. Chuck Sully can be reached at (920) 421-1913. He bakes on Monday nights and adds more baking days near Christmas. He will be at the Folk Show at the YMCA in Sturgeon Bay later this month.

Mission presentation

Gary Gordon will give a slide presentation on his visit and work at our Catholic diocesan mission in the Dominican Republic. All are welcome to the meeting at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Stella Maris Catholic Parish, Fish Creek Site. Refreshments will be served. This is sponsored by the council of Catholic Women, from St. John & St. Paul's sites.
