Scholarship recipients

MADISON -- Benjamin Hansen of Milladore is a recipient of a Wisconsin Towns Association scholarship sponsored by Rural Mutual Insurance Company. The announcement was made at the Wisconsin Towns Association annual convention held recently in Stevens Point.

Hansen is a graduate of Auburndale High School and attends the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He is the son of Michael and Debra Hansen. He received the scholarship based on her essay answering the topic: "What should the role of town officials be in sustaining 'working lands' in Wisconsin?"

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- George Marshall of Edgar has been admitted to Concordia University, St. Paul for the fall 2010 semester. Marshall was awarded the University, Lutheran Heritage, and Church Vocation scholarships. These achievements provide a total of $10,000 in funds.
