Darrell and Marian Scherwinski of Plover celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Kalahari Waterpark Resort in Wisconsin Dells with family.

The former Marian Vandehey and Darrell Scherwinski were married Oct. 3, 1959, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids.

Darrell retired from Copps Corporation.

Marian was employed by Stevens Point Area Catholic Schools for 18 years.

He enjoys hunting and reading. She enjoys playing cards and visiting family. They both enjoy traveling.

Children of the couple are Dean (June) Scherwinski, Lincolnwood, Ill.; Julie (Slav) Stepanovich, Des Plaines, Ill.; Gary Scherwinski, Neenah; Paul (L'Rae) Scherwinski, Camas, Wash.; Dennis (Elizabeth) Scherwinski, West Allis; and Douglas (Tracy) Scherwinski, Lithia, Fla. They have 11 grandchildren.
