Finish student enjoys her stay in Spencer

By Harry Toufar
For the Marshfield News-Herald

She was a long way from home, but it was an experience she will always remember.

Lotta Saila spent some time this summer with the Neil and Connie Schauer family in Spencer. Lotta lives in Finland. She came to Spencer through a program sponsored by International Lions.

While in Spencer, she spent a week at the Lions Camp in Rosholt. Another exciting and enjoyable time was her trip to Wisconsin Dells.

What was one thing that stuck with her during her stay? She said, "It is a little warmer here."

During summers in her home country, temperatures usually hover around 30 degrees Celsius (86 Fahrenheit). Even with the heat, she had an enjoyable time.
