Blumreich, Betty Lou
Betty Lou Blumreich, 77, Gillett, went peacefully home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 19, 2009, with her family at her bedside. Betty was born November 27, 1931, in Underhill, to the late Lloyd and Audrey (Frank) Kruschke. On October 5, 1957, Betty married Donald R. Blumreich in Gillett.
Betty was employed by the Gillett School District as a cook for many years. One of her favorite pastimes was cooking and baking for others. She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Gillett, where she was involved in teaching Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the Krause-Simpson Post 300 Gillett American Legion Auxiliary.
Betty is survived by her husband, Donald, Gillett; her children Robbyn (Alan Slatky) Blumreich, Indianapolis, Ind.; Heidi (Robert) Schindel, Oconto Falls; Billy (Mary) Blumreich, Gillett; Donna (Bill) VanRy, Mich.; Jodi (Bill) Fry, Oconto Falls; brothers and sisters Flora (Lee) Bottenseck, Lloyd "Pete" (Lorraine) Kruschke, Douglas (Joyce) Kruschke, Beverly Wranosky, Wayne Kruschke, JoAnn (Ronald) Montie, Dale Kruschke; a brother-in-law Clarence Schemanauer; seven grandchildren Travis (Sarah Martin) Schindel; Brooke Schindel; Nicholas, Kayla, Donald, and Robert Blumreich; Christopher Fry; one great-granddaughter Kalli Schindel; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law David and Dorothy Schmidt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her son, Chris Blumreich; one sister Karen Schemanauer, one brother Dennis Kruschke; two nephews Todd Spearberg and Bobby Shaw; father-in-law and mother-in-law Bill and Viola Blumreich.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday, October 22, 2009, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Gillett. Funeral Services, noon Thursday, at the church, with the Rev. Lisa A. Ubbelohde officiating. Interment in Wanderers Rest Cemetery, Gillett. Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett 920-855-2144 is assisting Betty's family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established and will be determined at a later date.
Betty's family would like to thank Sharpe Care, Oconto Falls, and also a very special thank you to Pete and Lorraine Kruschke.
