Gosha, Thomas J.
Thomas J. Gosha, 68, Waupaca, Wis., passed away on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, Wis. He was born March 7, 1941, in Green Bay, Wis., son of Laurence and Jane (Vieaux) Gosha. On Sept. 28, 1991, Tom married Kathleen (Eastman) Ellenbecker at the Red Mill in Waupaca. After high school, Tom served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam and Korean Wars. He was a corrections officer in Waupun and Green Bay, before going to work for the Outagamie Co. Sherriff's Department, where he worked for 20 years until his retirement.
After retirement, Tom worked part-time for the Waushara Co. Parks — Landfill. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Tom especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him.
Tom is survived by his wife, Kathleen Gosha, Waupaca; son, Scott (Joleen) Gosha, Appleton; grandson, Nathan Gosha, Appleton; daughter, Kris (Rob) Brownson, Hortonville; granddaughters, Amber (Josh) Peterson, Appleton; Emily (Mike) Miller, Hortonville, and their son, Anthony Miller; brothers, Mike (Judy) Gosha, Appleton; Larry Gosha, Appleton; sister, Gloria (John) Clark, Tigerton; brothers and sisters-in-law, John (Joanne) Eastman, Poy Sippi; Susan (Tom) Walter, Appleton; Jim (Sandy) Eastman, Sarasota, Fla.; Diane Raven, Michigan. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence and Jane Gosha.
Per Tom's and the family's wishes, no services will be held. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, is assisting the family with arrangements.
