Quiren P. Kubsh
Quiren P. Kubsh, age 83, of 2417 15th St., Two Rivers, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 13, 2009, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Quiren was born on Dec. 9, 1925, in Maribel, son of the late Frank and Emma (Stransky) Kubsh Sr., and attended St. Joseph's Catholic School in Kellnersville. On Sept. 25, 1954, he married the former Terese Ann Klein at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The couple were longtime members of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Two Rivers, where Quiren was an active volunteer and very involved with the church. He was employed at Mirro Aluminum Co. for more than 40 years, retiring in 1987. In his retirement years, he enjoyed reading, woodworking, art projects, and visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife: Terese Kubsh; two sons and a daughter-in-law: David and Lynn Kubsh, Two Rivers, and Dan Kubsh of Green Bay; two daughters and sons-in-law: Cheryl and Tom Peltier, Spokane, Wash., and Paula and David Heitkamp, St. Henry, Ohio; seven grandchildren: Joseph Peltier, Kristopher and Hannah Kubsh, and Christine, Chandra, Brooke, and Donald Heitkamp. He is further survived by two brothers and a sister-in-law: Frank Kubsh, Jr., and Joseph and Lillian Kubsh, all of Manitowoc; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law include: Lewis (Beatrice) Klein, Two Rivers, Claude (Shirley) Klein, West Allis, Margaret Kluck of Arizona, and Peter (Anita) O'Hara of New Jersey; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Joseph and Mary Klein, Sr.; and by four brothers-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3218 Tannery Road, Two Rivers. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. William G. O'Brien, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Friends may call at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, from 9 until 10:15 a.m. Friday. There will be no visitation this evening.
Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers, is assisting the Kubsh family with funeral arrangements.
Quiren was known for his creativity and imagination for inventing. He will be remembered by his grandchildren as "Grandpa Screwdrive hammer." He was a good husband, dad & grandpa, and will be sadly missed.
