Sylvester and Ruth Volhard celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner on a beautiful Sunday in August.  They have one son, David, and three grandchildren; Joshua, Nicholas, and Sarah.

Sylvester and Ruth were united in marriage on August 31, 1949 at St. Mary¹s Catholic Church in Marathon, WI. They put in many years of hard work on the family dairy farm that they owned and operated until their retirement.

Never slowing down, they still spend a lot of time tending to their fruit trees and large vegetable gardens. They are a testament to dedication and devotion both in farming and marriage.
