Oconto Veterans Day program set for Nov. 11

Oconto County Reporter

Once each year, Nov. 11 is set aside to honor all the nation’s veterans. We must not forget the men and women that sacrificed to ensure the freedoms we have today.

On Wednesday, Nov. 11, the Veterans Day program will start at 10:15 a.m. in the Oconto High School gymnasium. All veterans, Gold Star mothers, Auxiliary members and the public are invited to attend this ceremony. There will be a sign-up sheet in the high school foyer for all those wishing to participate.

All veterans are urged to meet at the high school around 9:45 a.m. to add their name to the sign-up sheet.

The Oconto Elementary School Veterans Day program will start at 1 p.m. in the gymnasium. All veterans are asked to begin signing in around 12:30 p.m., and again the public is invited to attend.

Anyone wishing more information about these programs can contact Roger Trepanier, American Legion Commander, at 920-835-2613.
