Richard and Dolores Diestler (Swanson) recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Homestead Inn with family and friends.

A video was shown of their “50 Year Journey Together”. A meal was served followed by a dance.

They were married August 8, 1959 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Birnamwood.

They met in 1957 while Richard was home on furlough.

They have 2 Daughters, their Spouses, and 2 Granddaughters.

Raising their Daughters and nowwatching their Granddaughters grow, being
involved in their lives and events, is truly one of their lives greatest
blessings. Family time spent together is their most treasured memories.

They have enjoyed vacations throughout the U.S. and attended many NASCAR races.
They truly enjoy spending time with family and friends, their fellowship at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church and their daily walks with“Buddy”.

Richard worked as a Journeyman Electrician and recently retired from Van Ert Electric.

Dick keeps busy with woodworking and mechanical work.

Dolores worked in the Clerical-Receptionist field and now works part-time at Scotties
Interiors. She enjoys embroidering, taking pictures of family and events and making family albums, going shopping with Daughters and Granddaughters.

Together, with family and friends, their lives have been truly blessed.
